Galerie Mazarine offers a choice of excellent frames and a professional, museums quality matting and framing service carried out on the premise by an experienced staff.

MATERIALS

100% rag mat boards are being used for the matting and backing board. This material is 99% acid free, buffered to 8.2 ph with an alkaline reserve of 2 - 3 % to counteract air pollution.

FRENCH MAT DECORATION
The gallery is specialized in beautifully executed period style French-gold bevels, gold lines, color washes and marbled paper mat decorations.

GLAZING

For the framing of works on paper the gallery offers a choice of glazing materials: regular glass, regular non-glare glass, conservation glass (non reflecting),denglass, museum glass and acrylic (plexi) glass. The advantage of acrylic glazing is its lighter weight and safety for transportation. The gallery will also reuse glass from an old frame on demand.

DUSTCOVER
All framed works on paper receive a brown paper backing to prevent dust and tiny insects from entering. The porous quality of the paper will allow the artwork to breathe within.
